Submit song requests by May 1st to info@anaisazul.com so that they can dedicate a song to your mother.

About this Event

Peruvian first generation immigrant Anaís Azul (they/them/theirs) is a Boston and San Francisco (USA) based singer-songwriter, composer, and teaching artist. Described as “stunningly honest and vulnerable,” their artistry engages with music as a tool for community building, cross-genre collaboration, and collective healing. Anaís writes music that is in conversation with jazz harmony, classical melodies, and Latin American singer-songwriter traditions. Their songs are bilingual (Spanish and English) and about mental health, queerness, facing harsh realities and finding inner peace in spite of chaos.

On this special day, they will be singing covers that feel loving and uplifting to mothers, parents and children celebrating Mother's Day anywhere in the world. Submit song requests by May 1st to info@anaisazul.com so that they can dedicate a song to your mother!

Please note: the price per ticket is sliding scale, and will provide a viewing for your whole household - but we hope that if you can, you'll consider buying the higher value ticket, buying enough tickets for all of the viewers, and/or making a donation, which will be shared between the artist and Calliope: East Bay Music & Arts. Thank you for your generous support of our performing artists!
